The amount of work you put in is amazing. The number of choices is truly intimidating and overwhelming which is great. I also love the level of detail / knowledge about fiction writing that is present in this coupled with a lot of really funny stuff. It almost feels like an inverted version of akinator. Really becomes an interesting mirror like experiences the deeper you go into the game the more aware you become of you own tendencies. I can’t really suggest much other than maybe considering some different ways of visually organizing the options.
I laughed out loud at the number of choices! Way to push this to its logical extreme - like, what is the max number of possible choices you can give your audience at once? Also, way to go, the text input implementation works great. I can feel your personality in this project, and I'm interested in what the back-end of this piece looks like. The back-room-behind-Twine part is funny, too.
I'm curious, if you added one more thing to this, what would it be?
This is a cool way of building a character! Normally, when you use a program to make a character, it's more visual but this text-only format leaves it up to the player's imagination which is nice. I also like the fourth wall-breaking comedy of it and how you choose not to play takes you to the games' backroom. I will say there is an overwhelming amount of choices, which I can understand for a more nuanced character, but I think taking away a few would give the player more of a breather. This is more of a personal interest, but I am curious about how the percentages are calculated at the end.
This is really cool and original!! As I was going, the character I made became more and more solid, and I actually started feeling attached to them by the end even though I picked mostly randomly at the start! The choices you have players make work really well in actually having people start to create the characters in their minds, and start developing who this person may be. I think the stuff with the acronyms at the end is cool, but definitely a bit over my head- the part with the archetypes and their percentages was a lot easier for me to understand.
Oh my!! Such a complexly written game! Well done!
Few things that come to mind -
1. I enjoy the length of options available. It's successful in the diversity of opinion, ideas and genres that it reaches.
2. Simultaneously, after a few options I got confused with the sameness of the options. For example when asking for strengths, weaknesses, many of the options available were almost too similar and made the choices really hard.
3. I appreciate the humor imbedded within the options. "CYB- TIC, NSFW, I want to get to the end". It does date the game to the present generation though, I don't know if that's your intention or goal. I enjoyed them though :D
4. I really liked the innovative code (for me atleast), of adding a text box to enter your city etc. I would have liked to put my name in too!
